How do you become a super affiliate?

A super affiliate is one who is a top income earner in the affiliate program that they are in. But typically the super affiliate is also capable of being the top earner in just about any market that he or she sees as profitable. This person consistently performs at a very high level for various affiliate programs and had "figured out" a system to deploy each and every time they move into a new niche.

Super affiliates earn incredible incomes and are sought after by the"gurus' to promote their offers because they know this person can deliver outstanding results.

navigatingnet.jpgOne of the things I have learned about is that it is very important to find and follow those who do and not those who say. Sometimes that can be very difficult to distinguish and decipher as people tend to come in many colors and can talk the good talk.

If you want to become a then find and follow someone who has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that they are themselves a super affiliate.

Finding such a person who is legitimate and is also willing to teach you what they know can often become a very difficult process. First off it takes some recognition and time to become a super affiliate and secondly it takes a special person who also has the capacity to teach in a step by step fashion that gives you the highest probability of succeeding and becoming a super affiliate yourself.

Recently I came across such a situation and after seeing the insides of what he is offering I can now come out and say that this is valid and worthy of talking about . EwenChiaPhoto.jpgEwen Chia has been a super affiliate for quite a long time. He has consistantly been a top performer and if you have spent anytime online and following or participating in you know who he is and his name is consistantly at the top of every launch online as the top performer.

Just recently he launched a mentor ship program in which he teaches you everything you need to know on

I give this program my highest ratings and I wanted to let you know that if you want to succeed in affiliate marketing, there is NO one better to teach and train you than Ewen Chia.

Fun With Foot Fashions

Sorry about the silly headline, but I'm in a weird mood. The foot fashions I'm referring to are shoes and boots… as in these two blogs: ShoeMoney and BootMoney.

ShoeMoney is a very popular "A-Lister" blog about affiliate marketing. Go there, read the posts, and you'll learn wonderful tips about various affiliate marketing strategies.

BootMoney is a new parody blog of ShoeMoney. Go there, read the posts, and you won't learn a damn thing about affiliate marketing… but you'll fall out of your chair laughing. This blog is seriously funny.

Visit both blogs and you'll laugh all the way to the bank. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself and that just slipped out… told you I was in a weird mood.)

Damn Brad Fallon!

Damn Brad Fallon! Grrrrrr!!

How the hell does he expect me to maintain, update and promote this blog and all my other websites–plus get involved with his new FreeIQ site–when I have a full-time job, a husband, a cat and several tropical fish that also need my attention?

There are only so many hours in the day, dammit!

I used to think of Brad as one of the good guys in Internet Marketing. He's definitely one of the most successful. I've seen him live at three Internet Marketing seminars, and he impressed the hell out of me every time… whether his topic was SEO, selling wholesale products online, or Internet Marketing in general.

He's not only one of the top experts (I'd use the word "guru" but all the gurus seem to dislike that word), he's a really nice guy who genuinely wants to help others become successful online.

At least that's what I used to think.

Now I'm not so sure.

I know what you're thinking. It's not Brad's fault. He's not twisting my arm or forcing me to get sucked into his new FreeIQ site. I have free will. I can ignore it! Right?

Hah! Fat chance!

How can I possibly ignore a site for Internet Marketers that allows speakers, authors, consultants and experts of all kinds to host and stream an unlimited amount of audio and video, including complete presentations, seminars and demonstrations–for free?

Vast content… incredible exposure… fantastic income opportunities… It's an irresistible dream come true for people like me doing business online!

Brad should know this, dammit!

I absolutely do NOT jump on the bandwagon of the "latest and greatest" product being pitched by the gurus (there's that word again). I get sick and tired of all the promotions they do for each other's stuff.

But FreeIQ is free (my favorite kind of product/service!). And it's got incredible potential.

If you have about 45 minutes to spare, watch Joel Comm's video.

If you just want to go see for yourself what it's all about, go to the FreeIQ homepage. It's pretty bland. But you'll see a list of preferred tags under the search box. Click on one that interests you, and you'll be taken to a page full of content about that topic. The content is a mix of free and for-sale resources.

Lots of great stuff on this site already, and it's brand-spanking new.

And yes, you can easily add your own content.

But here's what's got me really excited… the potential to earn a lot of money! In addition to posting your own products for people to buy, you can become an affiliate and promote the site (as I'm doing). If anyone you refer buys anything, you get a commission. If anyone you refer becomes an affiliate and gets others to buy anything, you get a Tier-2 commission on that stuff, too.

Just go to the FreeIQ site and click on the Learn More link at the top to see what it's all about.

But be warned! After you do that, you won't be able to resist climbing onboard now, before everyone else beats you to it.

That's what happened to me.

Now I'm spending my limited, valuable time promoting this thing when I should be cleaning out the cat box.

Damn Brad Fallon! :-)

I've been an affiliate for Amazon for about three years. But not an active affiliate. All I did was put links on some of my sites here and there.

I never got excited about selling Amazon products. And my results show my lack of enthusiasm. Or maybe it's the other way around.

I just checked my Amazon stats. Over the last three years, I've gotten credit for selling 18 items (16 books, 2 software programs) totaling just over $200 and earning me almost enough money for a large cup of coffee and a bagel (about $8).

Amazon's commissions suck.

So I didn't get too excited when they sent me a message announcing their "Context Links Beta":

Dear Amazon Associate:

The Amazon Associates program is thrilled to announce the release of the Context Links Beta!

Context Links are a quick and convenient way to add links to your website and monetize your content. Context Links automatically identify and link relevant phrases within your page content to Amazon products, unlocking new ad inventory and saving you the time from having to manually create links. You can add the links to your pages in minutes, and we provide a wealth of options to customize how they are displayed.

You create the content. We'll link it.

I tried before (with a third-party software program) on my job interview site. I would write an article and specify keywords within it that would be converted to text links going to Amazon or Clickbank, with my affiliate ID embedded.

The program offered great tracking, so it was easy for me to track my results: ZERO SALES.

I tried it for about 90 days before pulling the plug.

My theory is that this sort of context linking system may be worse than ineffective–it may actually backfire and drive away visitors–depending on how you use it.

My interview site is an authority site. People go there expecting information and advice, not sales pitches. (I don't consider Adsense ads as sales pitches; those are unobtrusive yet obvious, and easy for readers to ignore. Fortunately for my bottom line, there are lots of readers who do NOT ignore them!)

Anyway, I think on this type of site, people reading an informative article who come across a word that is a link likely expect that link to take them to further information (a definition of the word, a link to more detail or another article on the same topic, etc.). When it instead takes them to a page that's trying to sell them something, they are surprised, disappointed, and ultimately annoyed at being "sold to" when they're trying to learn something.

I think this can cause them to lose their trust in you and your site.

As I said, that's just my theory. I have no real evidence to support it.

I think contextual links to products can be very effective in other circumstances… where readers are expecting such things. For example, on sites where visitors are looking for products, or information about products.

I've noticed John Chow has a lot of context links in his posts. I personally think he has too many, but it's hard to argue with his tremendous success.

So I haven't ruled context links out. I may test Amazon's new program on a few of my sites.

But then again, Amazon's commissions suck. So unless I target more expensive products, it's probably not worth the effort.

John Chow has written a great article (does he ever write any other kind?) about The Proper Way To Do Affiliate Marketing.

John's advice is to PRESELL — which isn't new or original (especially if you're a fan of Ken Evoy) — but is certainly worth repeating. John also reminds us to match our affiliate products to our niche.

He even provides links to actual posts that promote affiliate products, along with the results he achieved.

How to Survive Making Money on the Internet

This is an excellent article contributed by guest author Josh Anderson. He wrote it mainly as a how-to guide for Internet "newbies," but YOU should read it regardless of your level of online experience!

“The Online Marketing Parachute. How to survive ‘making money’ on the internet.”

Disclaimer: Resemblances to your self or other characters in this story are merely coincidental. If this sounds like you don’t worry.

You are not unique.

Does this sound familiar?

Hi my name is Neophyte Newbie.

I have been trying to for 6 months now and my goal was to make 1 million dollars.

The problem I am having is that to date I have spent hundreds (really thousands but I am too embarrassed to say it) and am making no money. I quit my job so I could work full time on my "Internet Business" and I need $3000 in the next two weeks because the ponzi scheme I joined did not pay out what they claimed they would when I invested my last $12.

My wife and kids are getting tired of eating government issue peanut butter, raisins, cheese, and stale bread from the food bank and the prospect of living in a car for the rest of the winter is freaking me out. I am trying to start this fire sale but so far I have no jv partners and the ebook I wrote about "how to " is not selling.

I only have $500 left on my last credit card (the rest are maxed out and the bill collectors are calling every day) and was wondering if I should purchase the new Nuclear Portal Maker software because they say that if I don't they are locking the doors for ever and only those who purchase it will have the secret of push button money printing?

If you are at all interested in (or doing) affiliate marketing, you gotta check out the best ebook on the subject, written by .

I don't know why he doesn't put his name on his sales page… especially when he's listing these impressive credentials:

I am a 2005 Commission Junction Horizon Award Winner
I am a certified Commission Junction Performer
I am a Yahoo Search Marketing Ambassador
I am a Google Advertising Professional
Oh, and did I mention I made more than a million dollars last year?

Probably just an oversight. But though left his name off his sales page, he doesn't leave anything out of his ebook, "High Performance Affiliate Marketing." It shows you everything you need to know about making money through affiliate marketing.

I bought it (based on Allan Gardyne's recommendation) and I really love it. It's all detailed meat (no hypey fluff) on exactly how to get the most money out of your affiliate marketing efforts, in easy-to-understand, step-by-step language.

Also very cool is that you can read it online OR as a regular PDF…it's very well organized.

Perhaps best of all, Jeremy includes a private forum in which he candidly answers questions on exactly what he does to earn big bucks. He's revealing amazing insights on a daily basis! How many ebook authors do that?

And the price is nice! He's offering a 50% discount through Dec. 6th.

His very brief sales letter is at the following link. Trust me… it does NOT do justice to his product!

Check it out here: "High Performance Affiliate Marketing"

Marketing products and services through the Internet is unquestionably easier and more rewarding compared to traditional marketing methods. With the millions of people worldwide getting online each day, there's an enormous possibility for a merchant to sell his products and generate huge income.

However, merchandisers are not the only ones who can benefit from online marketing. A booming industry provides great opportunity as well to individuals as affiliate marketers. In affiliate marketing, an affiliate marketer doesn't need to have his own products and services to sell. All he needs to do is to refer people to the merchant's business site for them to buy the products and thereby, earn a commission.

The promise of earning profits without really doing much of anything has enticed a lot of people towards affiliate marketing. But does affiliate marketing really work this way?

As an affiliate, all that is required of you is to simply place the merchant's ad on your website. Then after that, you virtually do nothing but wait for anyone to click on the merchant's ad and later collect your profits. Easy, right? Well, not quite. Many affiliates earn almost nothing from their affiliate programs simply because they do nothing. Remember that affiliate marketing is but another form of marketing, and you'll definitely need to market your merchant's product for you to earn something.
