Michel Fortin is one of the best copywriters in the world… but he's also a testing and tracking maniac! (In case you're wondering, that's a compliment.) Michel's opinions and advice are based on research and hard data, not assumptions or suppositions. That's just one reason why I trust what he says, and why his business is so amazingly successful.

In a recent article, Michel reveals his tracking test results for a new tool called CrazyEgg that lets webmasters "spy" on their site visitors. It tracks their clicks, but in new, very interesting and highly usable ways.

"I think this is where salesletters are heading. Long copy will always be there. But rather than a 3,000-word long scrolling web page, I think we will see it split up into AJAXy windows, fly in addtional content, rating systems, and without question, video."

Anita Campbell of SmallBizTrends.com has written an excellent article that shares the top ten bits of wisdom she picked up from a recent American Express OPEN Forum. The article is "Ten Quotes to Run Your Business By" and it should be required reading for everyone who considers their online marketing activities a BUSINESS and not just a hobby.

Here are of the 10 quotes I think are most appropriate for those of us in the online marketing world:

The promise of earning profits without really doing much of anything has enticed a lot of people towards affiliate marketing. But does affiliate marketing really work this way?

As an affiliate, all that is required of you is to simply place the merchant's ad on your website.
